Project Manager

UCLA HEALTH SYSTEM- INFORMATION SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS GROUP(ISS)

Los Angeles, CA

As a project manager for UCLA ISS, I utilize project management techniques, tools, and best practices to manage and lead healthcare technology and infrastructure projects. For each project I bring together experts from multiple IT teams (e.g. systems administrators, networking engineers, server engineers, Epic analysts, etc) to design and implement innovative solutions to issues identified by IT and clinical directors. These projects have a high ROI for the organization, improve efficiency, and most importantly improve patient safety. I've worked on projects ranging from implementing interactive voice response systems for our professional billing office to bi-weekly coronavirus tests for all clinical staff to installing a total automated laboratory testing solution.

During my time as an ADT/Prelude Analyst at UCLA I completed dozens of projects, resolved hundreds of tickets, and made thousands of changes to the UCLA Health System Epic implementation. I worked closely with managers from admissions, case management, financial clearance, and care coordination. and become an expert at patient registration, payment collection, and authorization/certification workflows.

2015

Concierge Director

GREYSTONE RELOCATION
Los Angeles, CA

In 2016 I left UCLA for six months to work as the Director of Operations of a small luxury moving company. During my short time at this company, I hired, trained, and managed a team of client facing specialists and created a training program for future hires. I streamlined the operations of the company by identifying and maximizing the use of project management software, billing and invoicing software, and created robust spreadsheets to more accurately track income and expenses.

2012-2013

Director of Operations

POP-UP PANTRY

Los Angeles, CA

While working at Pop-Up Pantry I hired and managed a team that shipped thousands of frozen three course dinners monthly to clients across the country. I sourced the unique packaging materials and designed the cold and supply chain logistics to ensure every dinner was shipped on time and arrived undamaged. This includes not only the space age liners to keep the food frozen, but also special labels for the food that can survive both sub-zero and boiling temperatures. I negotiated contracts with a half dozen vendors.

EXPERTISE

Project Management

Through formal education and invaluable work experience I have solidified my skills as a project manager. As an IT project manager I am required to quickly understand complex technical problems beyond my in order to adequately manage teams of engineers, analysts, stakeholders, and vendors. Keeping projects within scope, on time, and under budget while alleviating stakeholder concerns is a delicate balance that I've mastered.

Blockchain Development
Over the last year I've learned how to code in solidity, deploy smart contracts, and more. I've taken courses about specific cryptocurrencies as well as general blockchain tech. Every day I expand my knowledge about the capabilities of new and existing projects. Soon I hope to launch my own erc-20 token as an experiment and deploy my own project via substrate on Polkadot.
Video Game Development

I'm very familiar with the Unity game engine and writing scripts in C#. I have experience with every aspect of game development including but not limited to character movement, camera options, applying sound, animation, and more. I have built several simple games and continue to expand my knowledge by developing an MVP for a passion project.
